I was free writing this morning. I went on for about an hour and a word continued to reappear. I do not know what it means but I have heard it before. What is a doppelganger? Could someone please tell me?What is a doppelganger?

it means in "myth" that somewhere in a parallel universe, your evil twin exists,identical to you in every physical attribute. in other words its complete opposite demeanor to yours so if your a good person its said that your doppelganger will be evil.What is a doppelganger?

The word has German origins and should be spelt, with an umlaut (dots) over the "a".
In German legend , it is a ghostly duplicate, of a living person.
A literal translation is "Double -goer".
